Mary Sachs Building – Bull-nose Awning

The current owner of the Mary Sachs building in Harrisburg PA contacted Kreider’s to come up with a new awning design to replace the existing entrance canopy. The canopy was large and to close to the street and was continually getting hit by vehicles. They settled on a design that kept the awning back from the street, eliminated the need for uprights while yet still being large enough to provide the needed protection for the entrance. Another design aspect was the need to keep the decorative arch above the door open and visible. The new awning is designed with minimal center and back support members providing an unobstructed view of the beautiful scroll work. The fabric is a fire resistant Sunbrella awning grade acrylic. The lettering was carefully applied by hand.

We were able to use the patio during a birthday party even though it was raining. We wish we would have installed the canopy 20 years ago. We love it!
